Making valentines
So, in preparation for both the kids class parties for Valentine’s Day, we’ve been working on Valentines for a couple weeks.
Araya & Ezra had their Tuesday School party last Tuesday and today was Ezra’s Pre-K party.
The kids loved filling the envelopes with candy and their ‘Valentine’. We made a little production line out of it, and they loved it!
I did a mini shoot of each of the kids to make our own personal Valentines with the kids pictures on them.
It took two different days to get a good one of Araya, but I’m very happy with the shots we got.
Araya does this face when she knows I am taking photos of her. It’s a smile, but it’s so forced, and she sticks her chin up trying to show her face, etc….
It’s cute…it’s just not her REAL smile or really laugh…you know what I mean.
Anyways! We got a brilliant real one for the one that made her valentine. I LOVE it!
Ezra….what can I say? That is totally him…just being silly…but it totally worked for a valentine!
For Ezra’s Pre-K they wanted all the kids to write their OWN names on the envelopes so that they can hand out theirs themselves.
I thought this was a great idea, because it didn’t feel like “school” but we were totally practicing writing his name correctly.
Even though his name is only 4 letters long, he struggled with the ‘r’ and would always make the A a capital instead of lower case.
15 Envelopes later…he’s got his r’s and a’s down! =o)
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
