Tenth Ave North - (D12)

David and I went to see Tenth Ave. North. They have been my favorite band for the last 2 years or so. They have INCREDIBLE lyrics and great music too! It’s rare that David and I go and do anything fun like this, between the kids and the business, so it was a lot of fun!
Though…who builds concert venues with concrete floors and no where to sit for 4-5 hours?
WOW! I sound old! =o)
 

This is my Day 12 photo, because of the Light bulbs in the background. Their latest CD is When Light Meets the Dark, and it has a Light bulb on it…as seen in the first photo.
I liked that these had a bit of a shine to them!

Shades - (D11)

We went out with the kids and we forgot Ezra’s sunglasses, so I let him borrow mine. Isn’t he adorable? =o)

Flowers from Trader Joes - (D10)

I found these adorable Gerber Daisy’s at Trader Joe’s complete in a red ceramic pot for $6.99.
I actually had these exact color of Gerber Daisy’s at my wedding. Red & Yellow were my wedding colors for our fall wedding. It was a fun find!

Eyes - (D9)

So, Ezra had double eye surgery to help correct his crossed eyes. It’s been quite a journey, but hopefully it is corrected and we don’t have to do this again any time soon.
This shot is of him before the surgery, it’s a good shot, because both eyes are headed towards the middle. Usually, one eye is looking at you, and the other eye is right next to his nose. (Then he switches his eyes, and the other one heads towards his nose) Sometimes it’s hard to tell what eye he’s actually looking at you with! =o)

I’m totally Fascinated! - (D8)

This cocoon is crazy! I’ve never watched a caterpillar do this before, so I am totally enthralled….this is only 2 days since it started building it’s cocoon….it’s thicker…a bit darker and has these little pokey spikes all over it now….Amazing, really!

Deceptive Cookies - (d2)

 
Sugar Cookies with baby yellow frosting? Don’t they look yummy?

Well, they’re not!
For those of you who REALLY know me, you know that I am an EXCELLENT cook – I love to cook and it most always tastes excellent!
BAKING on the other hand….I am NOT so good at! These cookies were made with whole wheat flour…and umm…ick!
And I don’t know what happened but even the frosting is icky!  The only thing good about them is that they are SOFT! =o)
The kids like them though which is good, because for some reason whenever I make cookies, it makes like 4 dozen!

Who needs that many cookies!? Especially when they’re NOT Lofthouse Cookies! =o)

365 Day Challenge – Launch & Day1 (D1)

So, this last April when I was in Atlanta I had the privilege of meeting and becoming friends with Tasra Dawson. She was in the middle of a 365 Day Photo Challenge, and I have decided to join in.
She has since finished her challenge, but it seems like it has SO affected her life in a positive way,
I am planning on taking this challenge on myself.
I’d love to become a better photographer and this day by day challenge will definitely help me or so I hear from Tasra! =o)

Here are the Rules: (From Tasra’s Site)

The actions:
- Take at least 1 photo every day.
- Read at least 1 page in my camera manual every day.
- View other professional images every day.

So…here goes! This is Day 1 (D1) and this is a shot I took today as the kids went to their first day of Preschool.

So, today, September 7, 2010 is the first day of my 365 day challenge to improve my photography 300%! Maybe you’ll consider joining me!? Stay tuned for my daily photo!
