Sicky Kids and Thanksgiving

Well, after my last post in the middle of the night Ezra woke up throwing up - EVERYWHERE!

That was the beginning of the Flu in our house. We all got it and somehow managed to give it to Faith (my sister-in-law) too.
Araya got it the worse as this was the first time ever she's really been sick in her life. She got 2 ear infections and pink eye along with the flu.

There's nothing like sick kids, and being sick while you have to take care of your sick kids.

Thanksgiving was here at our house and everyone was finally well enough to eat - PRAISE THE LORD! I am a little embarassed to say, I have no pictures from Thanksgiving, which is a little sad because the kids sat at the table and ATE with us (a big deal as my kids are super picky).
I think sometimes I forget to take photos because I am not "working" --
Things I want to remember about Thanksgiving this year -
David peeled and cut all the apples for the 2 pies!
Ezra helped make the pumpkin pie
Both Ezra and Araya ate Thanksgiving Dinner with us at the table.
Ezra learned how to say Happy Thanksgiving
I made 2 pies and a pumpkin roll and only one slice of pie and 2 slices of pumpkin roll were eaten
- Next year only ONE dessert!
Poor Faith was sick with the Flu she got from us - but was still able to eat dinner later that night!
The next day we went to Spring Valley Farm to get our Christmas tree!It was cold enough to feel Christmas-y, but not so cold we were miserable. It was fun!
The kids did great and loved being pulled around in the sled!

When we got home we attempted to put lights on the tree, and the whole box of lights for the tree were not working except one strand...which is crazy since they were ALL working last year when I put them in the box.
Being the day after Thanksgiving we decided to head to Lowe's to get some lights on sale. They were $1.78 a box! YAY!

The kids just LOVE the tree! Everytime they get up from a nap or in the morning and come down the stairs they just light up and say Christmas Tree! And then they spend the next 15 minutes looking it over with all the ornaments and just chatter away about it! Precious!

They helped put the ornaments on too! They would go get an ornament from "Dada" and go give it to "Momma" to put on the tree...sometimes telling me where they would like it to go!
It was a lot of fun.

Ezra really likes these little tiny star ornaments and goes and finds them right away when he sees the tree. Araya likes the little Starbucks mugs and pretends she is drinking out of them, making "MMMMMing" sounds! And they BOTH get a kick out of the round ornament balls where you can see yourself in them. They look at themselves in the ornaments and lean in forward watching themselves get bigger and bigger and then just crack up! It's so funny!

Ahhh, Christmas time!
